I’m telling about my winter break. I went on a trip to California with my friends in the beginning of the break. We mainly stayed in Los Angeles and we went to other cities several days. I went Melrose Avenue where there are lots of fashion stores. We could see art works like a wall painting on the street, and we went a flea market which is held at high school along the street on Sundays. There were many stalls from vintage clothes to art works in this market. We also went to Salvation mountain another day. This mountain is lately popular tourist destination among Japanese people. I was just impressed by how lovely it was and I couldn’t believe that a 50-year-old man started create it alone and he kept creating it until he was 80! Los Angeles was very fashionable, interesting and attractive place. After this trip, we went on another trip to Quebec, Canada. In Quebec, French is spoken as first language for some historical reasons. I did my presentation in Japan, therefore I was really looking forward to visit Quebec. We visited to Montreal and Quebec City; Both are famous cities. Streets and buildings were European style, so I felt as if I had been in France. We spent Christmas day in Quebec City. Unfortunately, some stores closed because Christmas was holiday, but others, which were in tourist spots, opened as usual. I think it was good choice to spend the day in Quebec City. I may say it was really my ideal Christmas day.
