Seattle Trip

Nov . 2019

I went to Seattle on a school activity on October 26th and 27th. The first day, I went to Sky View Observatory. It is the best highest building in Seattle so we can see very beautiful view. Then, I went to Pike Place Market, Gum Wall, The First Starbucks, and T-Mobile Park in my free time. Pike Place Market is the most popular sightseeing spot. There are fish market, jam shops, honey shop, and other handmade shops. My conversation partner recommended me to eat honeycomb, so I bought it in the market, but I didn’t like it. And my host family tell me about the fish market is famous for the performance it is throwing fish. I could the performance, it was so interesting and powerful. The Gum Wall and The First Starbucks is located near the market. You know, The Gum Wall is called the dirtiest sightseeing spot in the world. As its name suggests, it was a little dirty and smell bad. However, I hear that the all gum what are stuck on the wall was cleaned up in two years ago, so it was not as much as I expected. And I also, suck my gum on the wall. Next, I was going to visit The First Starbucks, but many tourists crowded the shop, so I changed plan and decided to go to the shop tomorrow morning. Finally, I went to The T-Mobile Park. It is the home field of Seattle Mariners. I didn’t know that stadium name was changed. I thought this stadium name is Safeco Field, but now, the name is T-Mobile Park. I was shocked because I think the before name is cooler than current name…, but that place was very fun for me because there are many goods of Japanese baseball players like Ichiro or Yusei Kikuchi. When I finished my free time and dinner, the night free time started so I went to my host father’s workplace and saw night view! It was so nice!

Next day early morning, I went to The First Starbucks at 6:03 a.m. because I wanted to become first customer of the day, but some other customer has come there already. In noon free time, I went to University of Washington, famous clam chowder restaurants, and Space Needle. The University of Washington library, the Suzaro Library, is to be the coolest university library in the US and is famous for its resemblance to the Hogwarts School at movie “Harry Potter”. And then, I went to clam chowder restaurant and the clam chowder was very very delicious! If you go Seattle, you should go there!! My Seattle trip was very fun and satisfy but there are place I want to go still, so I’ll go there more once.
