I’m working harder

Jul . 2016
My last session will finish by one month later. I feel like going back home, but also I want to be here longer. After leaving for Japan, I might miss Kingston. So I’d like to have great memories with my friends here in the rest of my time.
My teacher has me do mandatory free writing as homework. Every day I am wondering what to write. My teacher says, “You can write on it whatever you want”, but at the same time, he says, “You should use the vocabularies that you are not familiar with”. Every time I write something, I need to use some new vocabulary, especially from Academic Word List (AWL). To get high score in TOEIC or some tests, English learners need to remember these words, said my teacher. Furthermore, these vocabularies help us to read newspaper and news on the website. That’s why I am trying to remember AWL. Thanks to my teacher, I have been improving my English skill.
Recently, I went to Downtown to see buskers. Busker means someone who play music in a public place in order to earn money, says dictionary. However, in my case, buskers were like a circus. There were clowns, someone who rode a unicycle or did juggling, which was so attractive and brilliant. I have never seen buskers like this in Japan, so the buskers became one of my good memories in Kingston.
The weather in Kingston is easy to change. Sometimes if it’s sunny in the morning, it becomes rain in the afternoon. But I will try not to catch a cold, I’ll keep doing my best until the end of this session.
