こんにちは。英語科２年の新開由梨です。9月7日に出発して、今日で２週間が経ちました。たった２週間ですが、沢山の思い出が出来ました。大変なことが沢山ありますが、周囲の人の助けで何とか過ごせています。 
 
オーストラリアについた当日は、空港から寮までのシャトルバスに乗らなければいけませんでした。しかし、集合場所に行っても見つからず途方に暮れていました。しかし、1人のおじさんが助けてくれました。彼は、私の拙い英語で何とか理解しようとしてくれました。また、寮についた後もルームメイトがスーパーまでの行き方を教えてくれて、買い物の仕方を教えてくれました。彼らの優しさのおかげで英語をしゃべることに対する緊張が少しほぐれていきました。私のルームメイトは、2人のベトナム人と1人の中国人です。3人ともとても優しくて、年齢も様々です。 
 
オーストラリアに来て初めての日曜日には、中国人のルームメイトとその友達でオペラハウスとボンダイビーチに行きました。初めてオペラハウスを見たときはその大きさとデザイン性に圧倒されました。また、中国人の友達がたくさん写真を撮ってくれてとても楽しかったです。昼ご飯は、友達がチャイナタウンに連れて行ってくれました。そして、おすすめしてくれた料理を食べました。私はとても美味しかったのですが、中国人の友達は少し味が違うと感じていました。いつか本場の中国料理を食べてみたいです。 
 
学校では、ライティングのテストやプレゼンテーションがあるのでそれに向けて勉強を頑張っています。 
 
Hello. I’m Yuri, a second-year English student. It has been two weeks since I left on September 7th. It was only two weeks, but I made a lot of memories. There are a lot of difficult things, but I managed to get by with the help of the people around me.  
 
On the day when I arrived in Australia, I had to take a shuttle bus from the airport to my dormitory. However, when I went to the meeting place, I couldn’t find it and was at a loss. but the man helped me. Also, after I arrived in the dormitory, my roommate taught me how to get to the supermarket and how to shop. Thanks to their kindness, the tension of speaking English was relieved a little. My roommates are two Vietnamese and one Chinese. All three are very kind and vary in age. 
 
On my first Sunday in Australia, I went to the Opera House and Bondi Beach with my Chinese roommates and friends. When I saw the opera house for the first time, I was overwhelmed by its size and design. Also, I had a lot of fun with my Chinese friends to take pictures. For lunch, my friend took me to Chinatown. Then, I ate the recommended dish. it was so nice, but my Chinese friends felt that the taste was a little different. I would like to eat authentic Chinese food someday.  
 
At school, there are writing tests and presentations, so I am studying hard for them.
