It has been 2 months or more since I came here in New Zealand. Also, completion of EAP2 is only 1 week away. Our 3rd assignment and presentation was about Travel and Tourism and the last research report and presentation was about my further tertiary studies. I was interested in intercultural communication between countries so I chose this theme for the final assignment and my thesis statement was “How cultural background can influence the way of communication?” I had to read a lot of books for literature review. Therefore the research took a long time and preparing for the presentation was very hard, because the time for each student was half an hour. However, everything I learned in this course became skills of me and now I have confidence with myself than before.

ニュージーランドに来て約2か月が経ちました。今いる全12週のコースも11週を終え、残り1週となりました。3つ目のエッセイとプレゼンのテーマはTravel & Tourismで自分が興味のある目的地を選び、なぜその場所が有名なのか、どのような魅力が観光客を引き付けているのかということについて調べました。そしてEAP2最後の課題はテーマが自由で、それぞれの生徒が将来的に学習する分野についてのリサーチレポートと1人30分のプレゼンです。私のテーマはIntercultural communicationで文化的な背景がどのようにコミュニケーションに影響するのかについてリサーチしました。レポートを書くためにたくさんの本を読まなければならなかったので情報収集にとても時間がかかりました。そして来週その最後のプレゼンがあるのでしっかり準備して臨みたいと思います。

この前、オークランド大学の図書館で情報収集をした後、みんなで食事に行きました。またクラスメイトの1人が誕生日だったので先生も交えて誕生日パーティーもしました。みんなとても仲良しです。

残り１週間の授業を終えた後、自分の国に帰る人もいれば違う大学で勉強する人もいます。それぞれがそれぞれの道に進むのですごく寂しい気持ちではありますが、最後の最後まで一緒に頑張りたいと思います。全ての出会いに感謝です。
