In February, I did a lot of things. First, I finished EAP4 class, I’m in EAP5 now. This class is hard for me. Generally, this course is done by college students who will go to the university connected to this language school so I am learning the way to write a basic report now. This class is the highest level in this college so I sometimes struggle to complete a report. However, learning new things is interesting as well. I will keep doing my best till the end.
Second, actually, this month was my birthday. I turned 20 years old on 17th February. In the beginning of this overseas study program, I worried about making new friends. I was afraid I’d be alone on my birthday. Nevertheless, that was not necessary because all of my friends and my host family celebrated my birthday. I got many gifts from them. Especially, my host mother gave me a necklace shaped like Opera House. She said ‘You can remember my time here when you look at this necklace’. I was very happy at the gifts and I felt I achieved my goal at the same time. My purpose of studying abroad was making many friends from other counties and experience a lot of things. These 5 months, I met difficulties and I had some days I did not feel good but I could solve the problems myself. I really think It was a great decision to study abroad at this age. I appreciate my family for giving me this chance. I still have a month to finish my English studies here so I will enjoy the time with my friends before going back to Japan.
