海外留学レポートReport from Overseas

This is my third report.

Nov . 2022

Hi, everyone!! This is my third report from Kingston

Lately, it’s getting cold, so I’ve bought winter boots.
The fall semester is about completing...

Anyway, on Halloween, my host son and I dressed in costumes and went Trick or Treating and knocked on doors asking for candies.
Incidentally, I’d worn a witch costume and I bought a bag for carrying candies.
It took an hour to get candies from all neighbourhoods and I got candies for one year.
On the day before Halloween, I did do pumpkin carving. I sketched out my design on my pumpkin at first and then carved a pumpkin by using a pumpkin carving kit.
It was my first time trying to carve a pumpkin and experience another country’s Halloween.
These are my memory of Halloween.

Additionally, I’ve been trying to go to many events. I’ve been joining the Japanese relations at Queen’s.
This club is to promote a social environment for cultural exchange.
A person wants to learn Japanese and talk with them while eating Japanese traditional food and drinking bubble tea.
This club is many foreign people from other countries so I could meet various people who have many kinds of backgrounds.

Moreover, I’ve participated in Queen’s Debating Union as well. This club is the oldest debate society in Canada and the oldest club at Queen’s.
When I observed this club for the first time, I was so moved because a person who is the same age as me was so amazing.
As the name suggested, this club is debating the agenda and is divided into four groups that have to debate for seven minutes for each person.
It’s so hard to listen to what they’re talking but it’s so fun.
I was fascinated by this club!!!

I’ll do my best!! Bye for now!!

See you guys in my next report!!!
