Jun . 2012
This month, I study a lot as well as hang out with my friend. In core class, we usually learn about grammar and reading comprehension. My teacher always wants us to work as small groups that we can discuss about practices with other classmates. This strategy is really good for us because we can discover new point of views from others.

We had a week off in middle of June. I could go somewhere yet I did not: I wanted enjoyed staycation in Kingston. I joined the pool&BBQ party that my friend held. That was so much fun that I want my friend to hold a same party. The other day, we participated the haunted walk that participants walk around Kingston, which has a lot of non-fiction horror stories based on its history. I like that kind of stories but my friends. After that, I stated over night in my friend’s house. We watched “The Sixth Sense”, one of my friends always kept her eyes close because she was afraid of the story.

After break week, my teacher gave us a final essay assignment which is argumentative. The due day is the last of July so we have enough time to work on it.

June 29th was Queen’s School of English 70th anniversary; thus, each class visited small exhibition in Queen’s University. My class visited Observatory, Kingston museum of health centre and Miller museum. At Observatory, the graduate student explains about star, space and planet. Actually, we could enter the telescope room, so we learned how the telescope works. And also, we watched sun using a special tool. We realized how sun moves fast. Next, at Kingston museum of health centre, we learned the differences between now and 18th century’s the way doctors operate and facilities of hospitals. The fact of 18th century was almost gross stories. I am really glad that I was born in 20th century. Finally, at Miller museum, we learned about geography. We could touch the real fossils and the precious stones. The funny things was one of my classmates asked the speaker how much the precious stone costs: for sure, the pries is amazingly expensive. After finish visiting them, we ate hamburgers, fruits and cakes outside. In the same time, a QSoE staff wants the students to have an interview. I had the interview with my friend, in fact, I forced her to do it with me. While we were interviewed, the staff was recording the video so we can watch it 30 years later when QSoE 100th anniversary!
