It took about 2 months to come here. I want to more improve my English skill, so I try to write this report in English. I had some events in October. I would like to write about them.

First, I joined Thanks giving dinner. I visited to Mary, who is my host mother’s friend, to celebrate it with some families. Then, I was very surprised because there are Canadian, Indian, Brazilian, Chinese, Malaysian and Japanese in a house. It looked like a small world. We talked about many differences of culture for about 5 hours. This is exactly what I wanted to do! I was very happy to not only eat thanks giving dinner for the first time but also communicate with them. I want to meet them again.

Second, I traveled for 5days because I had a break week in last of October. I went to Toronto, Niagara Falls, Montreal and Quebec. The hardest point of this trip was talking with people in Montreal and Quebec because almost people in there spoke French, so I had to find some information by myself. My favorite place is Niagara Falls and Quebec. I boarded a Cruise ship in Niagara Falls. It was more powerful than I expected. I want to see the frozen waterfall. In Quebec, I could see beautiful buildings and views, especially in evening. It looks a different country from Canada like European country. This trip became one of my best memories in Canada.

In addition, though this 2 months, I noticed that I know nothing about the world included Japan. My host mother often talks about the world’s social problems to me, but I didn’t know about most of them. I need to learn not only English but also them. I am going to read newspaper and watch the news on TV. I’ll study harder last 5 months.
