December passed quickly with reports, tests and events.

First of all, there were several report tests at school. In class, everyone was concentrating on studying the report. In addition to the classes, I also studied and prepared for the test after I got home. As a result, I was able to get the highest score in the class. I was very happy to receive good feedback from my teacher. Also, there was an event of the end of year celebration at the school. Lunch and a cake were prepared, and everyone ate freely. After that, there was a lottery. Unfortunately, I didn’t get it. Additionally, a balloon artist came, so I had him make a balloon. It was amazing that he was able to immediately create something he was shown in a photo using balloons. He made us all different balloons and we took lots of pictures. Moreover, the teacher in my class gave us Christmas presents and message cards. I had wonderful day.

Next, in the japanese language school, the current semester ended and there was a presentation at the end of the semester. Some classes performed dance and sang songs, and some classes read poems and difficult reading materials, and played musical instruments. Every students worked hard and I was able to enjoy their performance. This month, some volunteers returned to Japan after finishing their study abroad period. I didn’t do volunteer work with them for a long time, but I was sad that they left because we were good friends. I hope I can meet them again.

Finally, after the midterm test, two weeks holidays started. In the first half of the holidays, I went to Melbourne with my seniors who came to Australia together. I visited several places, but the State Library of Victoria was the most impressive place because that’s the place I really wanted to visit. As soon as I entered the entrance, a very beautiful sight spread out in front of me. I also went to the art museum, church, and markets. There were many handmade products in the markets and they were all cute. I walked a lot in the city of Melbourne. It has a different charm from Sydney, and I liked it. After returning to Sydney, I spent the holidays going out with my classmate and friends. On New Year’s Eve, I went to the city to watch fireworks with my friend. We got there early to keep a spot, so we waited 12 hours for the fireworks. We ate lunch and played a card game while waited. When the time finally came, we welcomed the new year with lots of fireworks. That was amazing that it was worth the long time wait.
