The temperature has risen and I am having hot days. Christmas is approaching, and more Christmas trees and decorations are seen in the city. Even in my house, my host mother decorated the house for Christmas. The Christmas tree set up in the house is very big, and she told me that balls decorated on the tree has a lot of memories. Also, the lights outside are very beautiful.

In November, the first 10 weeks at school was over. In the 10th week, there was a final exam, an excursion, and an end of course ceremony. The final exam was conducted on Monday and Tuesday. On Thursday’s excursion, some teachers and most students went to Watsons Bay. We gathered at the station and headed from there by ferry. The scenery of the Opera House and the Harbor Bridge seen from the ferry was very beautiful. After arriving at Watsons Bay, we all walked around to see the scenery. I was more tired of walking than I thought, but it was a good refreshment to walk in nature and see wild dolphins. Also, there was an end of course ceremony on Friday. The teachers gave speeches and all students received grades one by one, and several students also gave speeches. I’m not good at speaking English in front of many peaple, so I thought I had to work harder while watching them.

From the next week, classes in the new class immediately began. In addition to the cassmates I studied with in the previous class, some new classmates came, so I was happy. Teachers have also changed to new teachers. Their classes are very easy to understand. It is only been three weeks since this class started, but all my classmates are active in studying and the class is fun. In my class, we have to do the presentation in pairs and the pair has been decided. From now on, I think I will be busy preparing for writing tests and a presentation, but I will do my best.

At the end of November, I met a friend at a cafe. She is from Singapore and is very good at English. It was the third time I met her, but it was the last time. Because she is going back to Singapore when her university vacation starts. She is interested in Japan, so we always talk about Japan and each other. She taught me English and I taught her Japanese and we had a great time. The next time we meet, I want to be able to speak more fluently.
