I finished the fall session and began a vacation. At first, I took part in some events for international students. Although there are lots of international students in Queens University, almost of them stayed in Kingston because they did not have enough time to go back their country. Therefore we have some events for Christmas. I was able to make a lots of friends in there. I want to continue to keep in touch with them in next session.

Second, I changed a host family between Christmas and a New Year and spent a wonderful time with the new family. Canadian has a different way to celebrate for Christmas from Japanese. In Christmas Eve, I went to church to celebrate it and sing Christmas songs. It is the biggest event for Canadian like a Japanese New Year. In Christmas day, we stayed at home all day because all shops were closed. We enjoyed opening gifts, talking, watching movies, eating Christmas dinner! I was glad to spend Christmas in a foreign country for the first time.

In this vacation, I was able to study according to my schedule. I am little worried about the next session because I will go up the better class than the fall session. I will do my best and want to improve my English skills, especially speaking. At the same time, I will enjoy spending a Canadian winter!
