海外留学レポートReport from Overseas

Time is going to pass faster than I felt so far.

Feb . 2012
It has been busy weekdays in this February, because I had much homework, some of which were hard such as essays, reading a novel and grammar exercises. I think what I am learning is getting harder than before the break, which was the end of February. The hardest assignment for me was an essay, because I had not been use to writing an essay using Academic English words. The first mark was not so good; however I did learn how to write an essay and what academic words I should use. In this session, I really have been learning a lot of grammar, vocabulary and so on. I believe this would be important to step up my English.
There were some activities, which give the students a chance to make some friends or learn different cultures from other international students. This is a really good break for me. I used to join most of activities after school to meet some of friends who are in other classes. Another reason that I used to go to the activities was to meet new students, all of whom were very friendly and came to study English from Aichi. They only stayed in Canada for one month. Luckily, one of students stayed in my host house. She was very kind and studied-hard to improve her own English.
Meanwhile, I had been having an amazing winter here in Kingston. Even though, there were a few snowstorms this winter, I have experienced the coldest and the most beautiful winter ever in my life. In the middle of February I went skiing with some of friends. Although, I was terrible at skiing, I had great time and had many laughs with all. In addition, during reading week, at the end of February, I went on a trip to Toronto with one of my friends. It was my second visit there, so I recognized things that I had seen before. It was interesting to find them and I realized that traveling is easier than the first time I visited. I think it is because I feel more comfortable speaking in English. That is a great step up for me and it motivates me to keep working hard at study English.
I have less than six months left to study abroad in Canada. I think time is going to pass faster than I felt so far, because I’m having many good days these days. I will try to do the best as much as I can.
