How’s it going? Studying abroad is coming to an end. It means my diary is also getting finished.. I feel lonely. I couldn't imagine I would  think like that. This winter, thanks to my host family, I attended a lot of events like Christmas parties with their cousins, winter sports, a music event at a Church ,and a Chinese New Year celebration. I’m really on cloud nine because all the experiences were new and amazing. Plus, I had never tried before. For example, the Christmas parties and Lunar New Year events were memorable. At a Christmas party I exchanged a lot of Christmas presents and enjoyed Christmas dinner. Yesterday(1/22) I went to my Host family’s friend's house and celebrated Chinese New Year by eating traditional Chinese food and watching the children perform. Also,since the beginning of January, I have volunteered at three places for 20 hours per week.  I chose the Chinese garden, an organization which supports students to study abroad, and a placement that serves LGBTQ+ and homeless people. All facilities are nonprofits. I believe it is a good opportunity to improve my English skills.  I’ll put in the hard work  for one more  month. I appreciate reading this report.
