Hi, guys! It's almost three months since I left Japan for UK. This month, I'm going to talk about afternoon tea and Christmas market.
At first, I talk about afternoon tea. Last month, I went to a café with Korean and Chinese friends to do afternoon tea. When we went to there, there was held a baby shower. Do you know baby shower? It’s a party given for a woman who is going to have a baby, at which her friends give her presents for the baby. We were interested in the party because our countries aren’t held such a party. Therefore, we compared with the cultures of British and our countries. Also, we ordered various teas such as English breakfast tea and Earl Grey. Especially, we were surprised that the café was also dealing in Sencha green tea and Jasmine tea since they were Japanese tea and Chinese tea. We were happy because we could have a lovely time!
Second, I introduce about British Christmas market. There are many Christmas market in UK. This month, I went to Christmas markets in Liverpool and Manchester with my friends. I took this photo in Liverpool and I ate a Yorkshire pudding wrap. It was wrapped roast meat and vegetables in a soft pie-like dough. It was warm and delicious. Plus, I drank a cup of mulled wine in Manchester. Do you know mulled wine? It means hot wine but British people call it mulled wine. It was very good and I recommend it!
