A HAPPY NEW YEAR

Jan . 2019

Hello, everyone!

A Happy New Year! 明けましておめでとうございます。

How have you been your holiday? I hope you enjoyed your holiday with family, friends, or someone special. In Canada, New Year isn’t special, so I didn’t do anything special. I just heard sound of fireworks on my bed. I really missed Japan at that time.

My long long holiday is going to be over. It was quite long, but I had great time with my host family and friend.

I would like to focus about my trip on this report. First, I went to Toronto for 3 days. Toronto was really big city more than I expected. I mean it has many skyscrapers, population and public transports. I use only bus in Kingston, so it was hard to take train, subway and street car. I was like a countryman. My best memory in Toronto is ice skating in city hall. I used to good at ice skating, I am sure. Can you guess how terrible I was? I couldn’t skate without my friend’s hands, and I fell many times. I guess I was like a newborn fawn, but I enjoyed until get pain in my foot. After enjoyed stay in Toronto, I went to Atlanta in America to meet my old friend. She is a half of American and Japanese, and she was born and brought up in America. She came to Japan when I was junior high school, and her grandmother is my neighborhood. Also, she went to my school for 3 weeks, so we became friends. Visiting her to America was my dream since then, and I promised her. I never forgot the promise, so I couldn’t believe I could celebrate her birthday and Christmas together. I can’t express how happy I was. I stayed there for about 1 week, but the time flew by. We enjoyed sightseeing, shopping, playing game even taking a dog for a walk. Anyway, my trip was GREAT. It was like adventure. I already miss that time.

I’m going to back to school this week, and I’ll go upper class. I’m little bit nervous, but I’m looking forward to meeting my old and new friends. I’ll always keep the word “TRY” in my mind. Best wishes for a successful and rewarding year.
