海外留学レポートReport from Overseas

Good luck to all of us

Dec . 2018

Hello, everyone! It’s already December, and it’s really Christmassy outside. I love to spend time inside with a cup of tea, a blanket and winter music. It’s perfect, isn’t it? In November, there are many activities, so I can’t write all about it. Anyway, I enjoyed so much.

First, I’d like to talk about my essay assignment. I touched it on the last report. Do you remember? I compared about conditions for homeless people in Kingston and my hometown, Kurume on my essay. Why I chose this topic is because there are many differences in both cities. When I went to downtown in Kingston, I saw homeless people who living downtown, and I surprised so much. Sometimes, they ask local people to give them money and food. They don’t hesitate to speak to local people. Besides, in Kingston (Canada), taking some drugs isn’t prohibited, so there are lots of homeless people who are addicted to drugs. Because of their dependence on drugs, they can’t go back to normal life, so some of them become homeless despite having a house to live in. I think that drugs in their life have a strong presence. Now, you would see the differences between Kingston and your city. While writing and after finished writing this essay, I thought about them deeply and carefully. Also, I shared my opinion with my classmates, teachers and homestay family. It was good that I had chosen this essay topic because it’s a worthwhile topic. As a result, I received a good evaluation, “A”. My host and teacher said, “I am so proud of you!”, so I can say I did it well. I hope you can learn something from these short introductions.

Second, I’ll talk about the graduation ceremony that was held the other day. To be honest, I thought that I could be smile because I’m going back to next semester, but I cried so much. I can meet with teachers soon, but I cannot meet with my friends who left from here. It was really hard to say good bye. I couldn’t enjoy this semester without them. Also, my class was awesome. They were always bright, reliable, active and funny. I learned a lot from them. Studying and spending time with them were very satisfying. It was not all about fun, but it was all meaningful things. I can’t say thank you enough, and I’ll never ever forget them.

I have about 1month holiday before I back to next semester. I would be lazy, but I need to go gym to lose my weight. Canadian food agree with me, so I’m eating a lot every day. haha

Near Christmas, I’m going to trip to Toronto and US. It’s going to be great holiday ever.

Anyway, I’ll enjoy Canadian winter, but of course, I don’t forget studying English!

Thank you for reading my monthly report.

Have a good day, everyone!
