海外留学レポートReport from Overseas

The Last Report

Aug . 2018

This is the last monthly report for me. 12 months, these months have passed so quickly that I felt it is like just one month. Actually, because of my strong love to Canada, I don’t want to go back to Japan, but I still have many opportunities to visit here again; therefore, I’d like to spend the rest of the important time here with my host family and my friends.

I have traveled many places, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec, New York, California and Florida, with my friend, Aya, who is from my university. Just days ago, we went on our last trip together to Ottawa. Unlike any other places, Ottawa is very peaceful that made us feel that the time had passed so slowly. We did not have to think about anything such as homework or assignment, so we could really enjoy the time there with people in Ottawa. Even though there are few places to visit, Ottawa attracts me and provides us the feeling of going back to the place again.

On August 9th, I finally graduated from Queen’s School of English. Throughout these three sessions from last September, I gained a lot of knowledge especially from the point of academic which I’ve never learned before. In the first session, I lost confidence with my English completely because all my classmates spoke English very well, and I just couldn’t catch up with the new things, but thanks to my friends and kind teachers, I grew up. Second session was also challenging one for me because I was in the highest class, and we did more advanced assignments, but each student inspired each other so that we all passed the class. For this session, I repeated the class again; however, my teacher had not been changed, so she made a different curriculum for me. It was totally different from the last semester, but I really enjoyed trying something new. Even though my score was a bit lower than last session, I did my all best, so it doesn’t matter bad or good result. I met many people from Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Ethiopia, Japan, Korea, Panama, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland and Venezuela while studying at Queen’s University. I really want to keep our international relationship forever. Also, I tried whatever I wanted to do, e.g. participating in activities and volunteering. On graduation, I got two certifications for the most dedication to the activities and volunteer. At that time, I had the best feeling of completion of all things. I really appreciate to QSoE for having provided us great opportunities.

So far, only ten days left for me; therefore, I wish I can do what I want to do here in Kingston for not regretting. I want to grab every chance to make my life in Canada better and to be full of precious memories.
