After I submitted the report for June, the temperature here got hotter up to around 33 degrees Celsius. My teacher has been so surprised for this year’s climate. Here is a reason why it is surprising that is because last year Canada didn’t have hot days like today until August as my teacher said. Outside is too hot though, inside is too cold because of air conditioner, so I’m a bit worried about having cold. Since I have only about two months until the end of my studying abroad, I need to take care of myself to enjoy the rest of the time in Canada.

 In the fourth week of June, it was a mid-term week, I was so busy completing literature report, preparing for presentations. Before the week, I spent so relaxing time every day, but my life became tiring suddenly, and I felt that was so stressful. As I wrote in my last monthly report, writing a literature report is a new experience for me; therefore, I always asked my teacher to make sure that I was in a right track. At last, I finished that completely, then I had a presentation based on my report. I was so nervous that I couldn’t do the best; one of the reason is that I was doing on my own. I have probably gotten used to making presentations with teammates; however, when I stand alone in front of the class, my nervousness gets rising in myself. It can be inferred from it that I’m not good at presenting ideas to the crowd if I’m speaking by myself. This is the huge problem that I still have, so before I get back Japan, I want to aim at overcoming this. My instructor told me that I didn’t do horribly, but I just needed to be confident by myself so that I could feel comfortable. As I learned a lot from the last presentation, I hope I can make the best presentation in which I’ve ever had.

 As soon as I finished the mid-term exam, I headed to the Toronto Airport with my friend to leave for Los Angeles in the U.S. We also visited Las Vegas. For six days, we went to many places: Hollywood Sign, Santa Monica Pier, Disney Adventure World, Universal Studios Hollywood, Grand Canyon. When we went to the Grand Canyon, I felt the greatness of natural power. It was amazing, and I was just couldn’t understand how that was created in this world. I was really lucky to have a chance to visit there. I had two days that I spent time on my own because my friend had something to do in the different place. During that time, I challenged me to go to Disney Land Resort for the first time in forever. At first, I was so sensitive other people’s eyes because they came with their family or friends; however, I gradually realized that they didn’t care about others even if they’re enjoying alone. Rather, I could see many single riders and talk with them. It was a precious time to know I don’t need to be bothered by what others are doing.
