This studying abroad made me grow up and became my cherished memory.
Jul . 2013
Ultimately, my studying abroad has finished. Time went by so fast. I cannot believe that I have already spent one year in Canada. Even though I came back to my country, Japan, it’s been really weird to see and listen Japanese all the time. Then, I realized how wonderful and precious studying abroad in Canada was. Of course, I love Japan a lot, but I do love Canada so much as well. I genuinely think I was lucky to be able to study abroad in Canada.

I graduated from Queen’s School of English on 9th of August. This session was a little bit challenging for me since we had a lot of tests and presentations. Also, I was straggled from the final essay, which I had to research about my topic and make an argumentative essay. This essay style was a brand new for me, so I spent a lot of time to finish my essay. While I was doing my essay, I used the library every day. The result of my essay was satisfactory one because when I received my result, my teacher said my essay was one of the great essays. I was really pleased to hear that. In spoken class, our class had a pair presentation, and I and my partner’s topic was about similarities and differences between North American and British English. In that presentation, each pair could use a PowerPoint optionally, so we did a PowerPoint presentation and got the highest mark in my presentations. Before I came to Canada, I could not do a presentation with eye contacts, but now I got accustom to do that. I think this is one of the biggest improvements for me.

After I finished my last session, it was a hard time for me because I had to say good bye a lot. I know life consists on both meetings and partings; however, farewell is the saddest moment of life. But, these experiences also enrich my life for sure. This farewell in Canada is not good bye forever as we promise we’ll meet again in the near future.

Special thanks to everyone who has been reading my poor reports since last September. I hope my reports were helpful for you guys who are planning to go to study abroad. If you are still wondering if you want to study abroad, don’t hesitate and go for it!! It’s going to be your precious time in your life for sure as mine was so. Best wishes for you.
